Is dev self promotion allowed in this sub?

I made a small App and posted about it last week on r/windowsapps and was told to post here so people actually see it. After I posted I noticed that it was removed, or at least I could not see it anymore. I was wondering if there is a unwritten rule about this, since I could not find it in the rules.

I am used to r/windowsphone where dev promotions where allowed when you post regularly aboit other things and stuck around for feedback and questions.
