[Comics] What the hell is going on with Batman?

I'm a normal Gothamite, and in the past few years it seems like the dude has straight up died or disappeared like 10 times. Our city has a long history of descending into chaos and bouncing back (the earthquake, the Blackfire cult, the mumbly luchador), but lately it seems like we're going into full apocalypse mode weekly.

Filling out my insurance claim for the broken windows, I couldn't remember if it was from the owl ninjas, the laughing mob or the crazy flower faced slendermen.

I thought Batman was our guardian angel, but the dude seems to be skipping town tons. And then there's some rabbit looking mechs claiming to be him... I'm just lost at this point. Do we even still have a Batman in Gotham? I want to have faith in the guy, but he's been super flaky lately.
