First time owning a greyhound

Hey guys. So I'm adopting a greyhound tomorrow! First time ever owning one. And besides the fact they are so cute, I figured rescuing an ex racer would be a great idea.

I'm a single mum, three kids aged 5 months, 19 months and 8. I'm a stay at home mum, so the dog would have company almost 24/7. I've talked to the lady there and she thinks she has the perfect pooch for us there already, so if all goes well we will have our new family member tomorrow.

Since I've never owned a greyhound before, are there any tricks and secrets I should know about as an owner? I've already been googling like crazy everything greyhound but figured I'd actually come and ask some other fellow owners!

Any advice would be great :)
