Hot Weather Clothes for a first timer?

Alright guys. I'm going to my first day on the field a couple weeks, and was wondering what one should wear. Jeans and boots, obviously. My field has a 350fps max on rifles- how would that feel on bare skin? I'm wary of wearing more than a tee shirt, since I'll be playing in the New Mexican summer sun, but am also wary of turning myself off to the game by immediately taking skin shots. Thanks.
