What's the best single player game (released or upcoming) available between now and Mario Odyssey?

Hello all, I ran a search for "best single player" and just "single player" and the most recent post was from ~50 days ago. I read that post but didn't feel like it answered my question, so thanks for humoring me.

Excluding BotW, MK8D and Shovel Knight, what is the best available single player game between now and Mario Odyssey's release?

I tend to like action platformers and adventure games, but I'm up for trying something new if it is really considered something special.

Right now I am thinking about waiting for Mario+Rabbids (pending reviews) and I've also read that Shantae is great (but short). I've tried Blaster Master Zero's demo and didn't care for it. Also, does Splat2n offer enough if I only plan to occasionally play online?

TLDR: I'd like to get a new game to help pass the time between now and Mario Odyssey's release. I'm looking for the community's help in narrowing down the choices. In the second paragraph I listed games I already own

Thanks!
