[Question] SKT, Maps, and Minis question

Here in a few weeks, I will be starting SKT. I noticed that the adventure maps start off at a scale of 1 sq= 5 feet. Perfect when using minis. But the scale increases(decreases?) to 1in=10ft, then 1=20ft ect.

My question is, how do other DMs deal with the changing scales like this?
