treys guitar on sunday

i observed last night that trey was playing the doc with paul's signature on the end thingy. i looked this up and supposedly this one has not been used in concert since 03. does any one else pay attention to his choice each night. i know he played a really old one for the truck jam. this one last night was from 96 and played pretty exclusively until 2003, or so i read.
