Why we don't need the Mask of the Mother in DS3.

It was possessed. Anyone that wore it was overtaken by a hateful demon that dragged their soul out of their body and replaced it with poise and ninja flips and were reduced to solely attacking with backstabs.

We don't really need that in the third game.
