Some advice you can give a future historian?

Hi everyone,

I was hoping someone can give me some advice in how to best handle my eduction, I know jobs within the History field aren't exactly easy to come by but I was wondering in what direction I should go to have a higher chance of getting hired in the future.

I would like to find a job with a television show/magazine researching what subject they are going to write about next but I am just not sure how to handle this or were to start, I am not the yougest anymore either and I feel like this will already put me in a disadvantage with others who will graduate 5 years younger then I will be when that happens.

I am Dutch if that makes any difference.
