Home Page Design help

hello, I've had my shopify store open for a month now, and am struggling with polishing my homepage. Can someone take a look and provide thoughts on how to design it better? Not sure how to put blog posts on home page, if possible with Brooklyn theme.

I'm trying to get my store visitors to venture past the home page to the products page, but I feel there may be something off-putting about it. Not quite sure what it is though.
