Looking for Knife suggestions for a gift

Hi All, Looking for some help buying a knife for my wife for our anniversary. She's an aspiring food blogger with a strong passion for cooking. I'd like to get her a general use knife that she's excited to use, and will look great. (quality is important too). I've filled out the r/chefknives questionnaire below. Let's hear your suggestions.

• Western or Japanese? Prefer Western, but I'll take both suggestions

• Stainless or carbon steel? I'm reading about the pros and cons of both, so I'll take both suggestions

• Standard western handle , traditional wooden Japanese handle, or a hybrid? Western or hybrid

• Pinch grip or handle grip? Handle grip preferred but open to both

• Length? 180mm->7.1", 210mm->8.2", 240mm->9.4" Not sure what I need here

• Use cases? General purpose

• Care? Honing, paid sharpening service, whetstones? probably paid sharpening as this will be our first and only nice knife (for now)

• Budget? ~$300 with room to work
