[Advice] on using GarageBand to edit audios

Does anyone else use a Mac and work with GarageBand to edit your audios?

Audacity won’t fly with a Mac (EQ = crash) and Reaper is over my cognitive pay grade.

GarageBand has all kinds of fancy bells and whistles but I want to keep it simple. If I can learn how to clean up background noise, cut/clip errors out, and keep my voice sounding human instead of robotic, I figure everything else can come later.
