ELI5: Why doesn't sugar fall out of solution as simple syrup cools?
When making simple syrup, you use 1:1 water:sugar then apply heat so more sugar can dissolve into the water. This much I gathered from my high school chem classes of yore, but why doesn't the sugar fall out of solution as the mixture cools down?
