Any solely verbal based immersion programs?

Hello, so I have been using the Pimsleur program for roughly three months now and am starting to see great progress with my pronunciation and general grasp of Mandarin. I am planning an immersion trip to China this coming Spring but do not want to focus on reading and writing as much as verbal communication. After looking at my potential options, I haven't found many that just focus on this.

I have been told that the reading and writing is extremely memory based and takes years and years to fully understand. My priority now is to become fluent in speaking and let the reading and writing come with time, as my goal is to eventually move to somewhere in China for work.

Any help would be appreciated, my only limitation would be that I actually want to go to China and not stay in the US for an immersion program. Thanks!
