Help with crafting.

So I'm really late to crafting but want to get this done. I have a few questions and was wondering if someone could direct me to a forum or link involving everything crafting or answer my questions.

1. What is the best way to level crafting? From what I understand it is writs and deconstruct everything you get while questing. 1.5. If I do that how do I make money efficiently?

2. You have to "research" a trait from an enchanted piece of gear you find to be able to apply it while crafting. If I find a lvl5 sword with an enchantment and research it, will it be the same enchantment at cp160? If so, then I could just buy shitty low level items and research them correct?

2.5. How long does it take to research?

3. Apart from inventory management and free space from the bank. Is there a real benefit to crafting Alts? My main is currently 30+ in clothing, wood and metalworking (I can't remember this correct names) where as all the other are 5+, haven't worked on them yet. Should I just call quits and make alts just for crafting?

4. To get gear sets, can you craft them? Through the campfire locations? Or is the only way through dungeon drops?
