Help Request: What kind of creme filling to use?

I'm making some cream puffs at home and all of the recipes seem to have either a custard filling or a whipped cream filling but I wanted to make a filling more like what you find in Dunkin Donuts cream filled donuts but Im not even sure what you would call it. I think its some kind of buttercream . Any suggestions for what kind of filling I should make?
