Connecting Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum

I'm having trouble connecting my new vacuum to the wifi. I've confirmed the 2.4Ghz connection, the password (WPA2), the signal strength. I've reset the router and modem and vacuum. I've switched to the Mainland China locale in the Mi Home app on my iPhone. Nothing works. Continue to get a Connection Error. Any advice out there? Thanks!
