Song from back when I was young

So my mother used to always listen to stuff as we drove around, mostly punk music, and hearing the same songs over and over made them stick to me. I have found a lot of the music she used to listen to, but there's this one single song I can't find anywhere.

The only lyrics I can remember from the song are from the chorus, and they might not even be right as I was younger. I remember it going; "I'm away from you. Don't call a false alarm, fade away. But my heart will stay."

The singer sounded like the man in this song, (https://youtu.be/_5ZY9ykEjWg) but I'm pretty sure this band didn't make the song because I looked through a ton of their stuff.

I remember the song also used a synthesizer, electric guitar and drums.
