Looking for a good mouse, durability important. Tough to find good options.
I've now went through 3 deathadder chroma's in the last 3 years, and I think I'm finally calling it quits. Before this, I was on SteelSeries and the same thing was happening there, two mice in 2 years.
I right click, a lot, I used to play MOBA's frequently, now I am playing Diablo 3 and PUBG/Overwatch. I also do a lot of 3D modeling and graphics related stuff. They say that the mouses are rated for 1mil+ clicks. I think I hit that in about 9 months time.
For me the first sign of the failing mouse is the double click when I did a single click. The second sign is that the button just kinda feels "stuck down" like it doesnt pop back up how it used to. Another thing is that it doesnt particularly have that tactile responsive feel that I enjoy from the satisfaction of right clicking.
There seems to be a big culture around mechanical keyboards, and I've jumped on to that with some CherryMX Reds on my Corsair Strafe (I actually have two, one at home and one at work). While I'm now a fan of proper mechanical keyboards, it has me wondering why the mouse input is kinda falling behind the curve? Why arent mice made with better components? Maybe im rambling, I'll stop here.
Can anyone suggest a durable mouse with a scroll wheel and forward/back buttons on thumb?
