VA Home inspection

Im a first time home buyer using the VA home loan. After tough negotiating, my offer was accepted on a house.

My question is about the VA home inspection/appraisal. All I see online are articles and forums with horror stories about appraisals coming in low. Is this something to worry about?

I tried to look at the last year comparable homes that sold in my area and there are none. I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere in the Midwest. The tax appraisal on house is about 5k lower than selling price.

I'm worried because I can not pay any kind of substantial difference. I have a VA fiduciary and 20k in account but was told I can't use that money to help purchase a home.
