Women in the US: has anyone had any luck getting their hair cut at a cheaper, chain-type haircutting place? Do you recommend any?
I feel like, as a woman, there's no way to get just a cheap haircut without it looking awful. The cheapest cut I've had was like $40, and when you add 20% tip, it's $48 I'm spending to get my hair trimmed only. It's ridiculous, and it's the reason I haven't had a haircut in almost 6 months. I really just want a basic trim to keep my hair healthy. But salons are so expensive, and I don't have the money right now. Has anyone ever tried getting their hair done at "cheaper" places like Supercuts or Great Clips? I've avoided them like the plague my entire life, but they can't all be bad, right? Any other ideas where I can get a cheaper cut? Or do I have to just resign my fate and pay salon prices forever?
Thanks y'all
