Elite Skirmishers DO counter Halberdiers

I've seen a couple of people who thought that there was a big problem with trash wars in that Elite Skirmishers didn't counter Halberdiers, so it was an incomplete triangle and halbs were the dominant trash unit. The main one I saw was this thread in which u/gamevideo113 argued that skirms don't beat halbs.

The problem with that argument was that it was based off an 18 vs 18 test, which is ridiculous. In trash wars, you're spamming the hell out of your production buildings and are going to have way more than 18 of either trash units; not just 40, but probably more like 80 or 100. It was also based off the assumption that you don't micro your skirms in trash wars, which is not true, sure you don't micro the fuck out of them, but you at least move them back every now and then.

In large numbers and with a little bit of micro, skirms DO counter halbs. It's incredibly clear. With a 60 vs 60 test, the Elite Skirmishers won, with 24 remaining. I tested it again and there were 32 skirms left. Then I tested it without any micro at all and with the skirms patrolling into the halbs, and the skirms still won with 23 remaining.

There was also this thread where people responded with "make your own halbs" if your opponent is making halbs, even though in trash wars, Elite Skirmishers clearly counter Halberdiers effectively.

I'm sure a lot of people already knew this but I just felt like putting it out there because I myself also used to think that the trash triangle was broken, but I recently realized that it's not.
