Is my N3DSXL screen ghosting normal?

The N3DSXL I bought came with an IPS screen. Everything was crisp and wonderful until I dropped it and cracked the LCD.

I replaced the screen with one I purchased from AliExpress. I was dumb and didn't go out of my way to get an IPS panel. I assumed that there wouldn't be that much of a difference.

After installing and testing the new screen, I realized it was a TN screen. I noticed that there seems to be some decent ghosting while playing games of Super Mario World. I never noticed it before this but I was never this critical of the screen.

Is this normal of TN screens when coming from IPS? Is the New 2DS XL any better? Would it be worth selling my N3DSXL and "upgrading" to the N2DSXL?
