Help with Amazon Gift Cards

Hi all, the truth is, I don't know how the Amazon Gift card work and I have someone willing to send me an Amazon gift card since I can't receive the payment through PayPal or other P2P. I just want a clarification on how to forward link of the gift card to the person and one more thing, will I be able to purchase anything on Amazon website with the Gift card. Thanks for your time.
