Thoughts on the 2013 Prius C

Hello!

I am looking to upgrade my 1999 Toyota Camry and have the option to buy a 2013 Prius C (54,000km) for around $12-13k.

I like the idea of a hybrid to save money on gas, I'm a graduate student so don't have a large income but would like to replace my car before it dies on me as it's getting quite old.

What are people's thoughts on the Prius C and hybrids in general?

Thanks!
