Nvme decisions

I'm building a ryzen pc and the last part (except the gpu but I'm waiting for the prices to come back down) I need to buy is the nvme I decided to put in for my OS. I'll buy a 250gb one but since is a m-atx build it will stay under the gpu and temps may become a problem... is there an nvme that's better than the others on that aspect of should I go for the cheapest (the 960 evo)?
