[Build Ready] Building my first PC. $1,000 budget for casual PC gaming. Am I on the right track here?

Build Ready

What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better. I use my console for fps games and RPGs. I'd like a PC to play everything else--particularly Cities Skylines, Beseige, Crossout, Civ. Would also like to do some light video editing.

What is your budget (ballpark is okay)? $1000

In what country are you purchasing your parts? USA (California)

Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!).

Provide any additional details you wish below. Not trying to do any overclocking or 4k gaming, but I would like to play games like Cities Skylines on high settings. If I can do this with another CPU or video card, please let me know. Thanks!
