What was going on in your country during wW1?

Hello, I'm currently in the process of making a video series where I talk about the neutral nations of World War 1, when I try to find information about Colombia (or pretty much any Central and Southern American country) my search comes up with very little. Was wondering if I could get some help from you lot. My Spanish is pretty poor so English responses would be preferred when possible.

Thank you.
