An Update on Kasen

So many of you have supported our family and been so kind to us that I think I should share an update. I don't subscribe to any one faith or religion but in the last 24 hours, there've been some amazing things happening. Science, quality of care, miracles, at this point, I'll take whatever we can get.

The first is that his trach tube went in successfully and he's working towards being completely vent free. This is important because it's one of the steps to getting him into the experimental program in NOLA at the LSU facility.

The second is that it would appear that the team in New Orleans are anxious to get him down there and begin treatment. There was a question of whether he would be accepted but it would appear that hurdle has been passed.

Writing it all out, it doesn't seem like that big of a development. However, 36 hours ago, after the extreme range of emotions and evaporation of hope, we're working toward the treatment that can help him.

If you pray, please pray for us. If you can send positive mojo, we'll take it. I can't thank you all enough.

YNWA,

Josh
