Why is /r/science empty?

Multiple mods had their accounts compromised and the people that compromised the accounts deleted every single post in the history of r/science (literally every single one). We don't know more about this yet, but we do know admins are working on fixing and restoring the subreddit.

Edit 10:16 PDT: removals seem to have stopped and mods have manually restored the front page there in order to make it appear normal while admins are restoring the backlog.

Edit noon PDT: admins have restored the posts and are dealing with the compromised accounts.
