Inissia lights keep blinking until power cyle

When I turn my machine on to warm up, it sometime releases some steam and makes the noise of steam escaping. The lights then begin to blink slightly more rapidly than the usual speed when it warms up. Anyone else have this?

The only way to get the machine to work is to unplug it and then turn it back on a few times. I've only had it for about 2 months, does it just need to be rescaled or should I send it in for service?
