Nest Cam click and wait?

At home on wifi, my user experience with the web and mobile apps is pretty poor. Clicking/tapping in the time line, or (right now) simply loading my home page ... I get the spinner the vast majority of times. It seems to work best at very odd hours which makes we wonder if it's due to Nest's server load and network capacity.

I haven't been able to trace it to a particular wifi setting (5Ghz vs 2.4Ghz), nor device or camera bandwidth usage. I appear to have plenty of wifi & internet bandwidth, and the actual video recordings are fine ... when i'm able to access them. Anyone else experience this? It's definitely not a "fluid" experience.

In contrast, i just set up a Logitech Circle 2 to review, and it's great. It has none of these problems. And it seems to have the exact same architecture as Nest.
