Leak-Free PRAM Battery?

I was reading about Lithium batteries in a "regular" AA environment, for electronic products where batteries do their job, are discharged and thrown away. The article mentioned that they do not leak (or are less prone to leaking).

I replaced my PRAM batteries with Lithium batteries, and I thought those 1/2 AA were always Lithium, so I thought it was weird... by googling "leaking CMOS batteries" I found a bunch of images and both CR2032 and 1/2 AA batteries were NiCD.

So my question is, does anybody know if a brand new Lithium battery will leak if, let's say, I replace it every 5 years? And if it does not, or is unlikely to leak, why do some people take regular alkaline batteries and put them in their computers??? These things leak after 3 months in a flashlight... I would never put that near my PCB!

I'd be happy to hear if someone knows about this.
