What is your drafting strategies for a Hits/Blocked Shots league?

Hey everyone!

Second Fantasy Hockey League with my friends using Yahoo; last year we kinda started one last minute and enjoyed the hell out of it. We took the default Yahoo H2H categories settings and for this year we switched out PIM and +/- for Hits and shots blocked.

Do you guys have ANY tips for a hits/sb league? This will be my first time analyzing those peripherals so are there any players I should absolutely target?

How should I approach the draft? Is a player like Pavelski/Wheeler worth more than a pure offensive player like Gaudreau?

Should I target a defensemen in the first round? (5th overall)

These are my leagues stats: G, A, P, PPP, Hits, Shots blocked, Wins, SV% and GAA
