TIFU by flashing unpaired hydro-encephalons

So I was messing with my rig last night, trying to eliminate the twenty femtosecond delay on the dual wave reciprocator, and I thought it would be a good idea to rotate the hydro-encephalons before engaging the main reactor. It makes sense, right? If they engage both cavarin deflectors at 40 degrees, they would probably hold up at 125 degrees as long as I kept the stasis field steady. Wrong!

I came to about half an hour later with my eyebrows singed off by Bexler radiation and a hefty headache. Not only that, but the dual wave reciprocator STILL hitches at maximum wave polarity! Can anyone help me get my hydro-encephalons unfused and fix the delay on the reciprocator?? Thanks in advance!!
