Why are my packages being delivered to UPS locations and not my home?

I have had to go to a deli to pick up my last few packages, is there a way I can have them delivered to my doorstep even if Im not home. I have never had this problem or anything stolen before but I order multiple things a week and had an item returned because I didn't know it was being sent to a UPS pick up location.
