signs you're slipping back (or bouncing back)
I went into a heavy bout of codependency/depression (more like "meh", I gave up hobbies and sat on the couch) about 4 years ago. Been pulling out of it for about a year.
One thing I noticed I did was I stopped singing.
I mean random singing. Just all the time. It was a part of my personality. I buried it.
I noticed that I hadn't bought songs on iTunes for something like two years. And I wasn't singing.
I've singing again. I think that means something.
(I think I developed CoDep as a maladaptive way of surviving some challenging relationships as an adult - but my childhood, while mostly happy, didn't help - there was more than a little abuse)
Likewise I've given up the gym and good eating and sleep this week. THose are NOT good signs. Gonna get to bed early tonight.
