Chrome - 'Waiting for cache' issue...

This maybe a Chrome issue, but may also be a hardware issue.

For weeks I've had a huge problem where Chrome hangs with 'Waiting for cache..' every few minutes. It completely freezes my pc for a period of time.

Tried to troubleshoot different bits of hardware in my pc. Bought a new SSD last month too, as I thought this was the culprit.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
