I placed too high in Copa Lucioball. What do I do now?

I'm a high Silver/low Gold in Comp. I main Lucio so I was really excited when I heard about competitive Lucioball.

I won 8/10 placements and got put in Diamond. After the first few matches it was clear I don't belong in Diamond - everyone else is much better and I got several messages (some nicer than others) telling me that.

The thing is, I really want to keep playing Copa for the same reasons I prefer regular Comp over QP. The teams are much more engaged, the matches are closer, people actually play positions, etc. At the same time I feel like it's unfair to my teammates since I'm a liability at this level.

Should I just retire from Copa so I don't throw more games? Or ignore the DMs and keep losing until I'm matched with peers?
