Way to monitor home power consumption?

Ive done a fair amount of googling but havent been able to come up with a solution. There are plenty of home power consumption monitors on the market that you can just plug into an outlet and itll spit the data out on a screen. Is there a way to do this with the RPi without touching my mains to hookup a sensor?
