Starter here, what should i do?

Hi guys. Just got a new pc and the first game i wanted to play was Dark Souls. I played like 10 hours of BloodBorne on my friend PS4 and i love it, so i wanted to try the proclaimed best Soul game.

Anyway, i have like 1 hours in the game. Im a Knight. I have like 2000 souls and leveled up Strenght/Dex/Vitality i think. So my question is, how do i proceed? I mean, what should i do with souls? What should i level up? What weapon should i get/upgrade for my class? Like i said, im new and i just dont like to do things without knowing how that would impact my game. What you guys recommend?
