Showing someone that you love them when you're not physically present?
I'll start by saying that I'm referring to long distance relationships, but relationships where that's not the case can still be applicable. I feel that if I love somebody, I will try to be present, as in making them aware that I care for them and that I'm thinking of them. For example, I show my love by doing even the smallest things, like calling, texting to tell someone that something made me think of them, asking how their day went, making dinner for them, etc.
I do not feel that I'm told or shown that I'm loved often enough. I don't know how to address this without coming across as needy, because I'm not. I get that it can be harder to show someone how you feel if you are in a long distance relationship, but I think ways can be found. If I start to never hear from my loved one with the same frequency as there used to be, it makes me wonder whether they still feel that they love me.
