How do you update pcbnew so that it shows changes made in eeschema?

I was going to ask this in my other thread, but I realize it's probably a completely unrelated question, so I'll create a new thread for it.

I have a working pcbnew file, with a nice circuit. Something that's bothering me though, is that I sometimes notice mistakes I've made, go back to the eeschema to make the changes, save them, but then when I reload the pcbnew, the changes don't show up. I've tried to have it "Read netlist" or "Rebuild Board Connectivity", but the old eroneous connections remain. The only way I've found to make it work is to delete the pcbnew file and remake it from scratch, which is very time consuming to do every time I find a slight error or need to do a correction.

I'm sure there must be a way to transfer the changes, but I could really use some help finding it. Here's a screengrab of my circuit, the error I'm trying to correct is the connection made on the three transistors in the top-right. http://i.imgur.com/F09UtSE.png

Also, random additional, is there a way of doing finer increments of zoom? While trying to take a screengrab of my circuit I can't get it to fill exactly the screen height. I know it's not a big deal, but it's really annoying. In paint or any other graphics program you can set an exact zoom level. 117% or 333%. In Kicad it seems like the zoom levels are quite large and fixed. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help with my noob-level questions.

EDIT:

Regarding that last question, I have found the "fit to screen" option, which does mostly resolve the zoom problem.
