Job Description
As a software developer at XLAB, you will be responsible for writing and coding individual programs or a certain module of an already made program.
As a software developer, your list of tasks can include:
• Reviewing current systems
• Presenting ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals
• Working closely with programmers, designers and staff
• Producing detailed specifications and writing the program codes
• Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live
• Preparation of training manuals/documentation for users in case it’s needed
• Maintaining the systems once they are up and running
Required skills
Knowledge of programming skills is a prerequisite. At XLAB, we work with different platforms and languages, so you will have to be familiar with at least C#, C, or C++. You will also have to be eager to learn new languages and platforms every day throughout your journey at XLAB.
The key requirements we would like you to have are noted below:
• Expertise in current computer hardware and software
• Ability to use one or more development language (C++, C#, Objective-C, Swift, etc.)
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a team
• Eye for detail and identifying problems
• Understanding of business
• Analytical and commercial experience
Familiarity with web based technologies (HTML, CSS, PHP, etc.), and microcontroller technologies (Arduino) is also a plus.
Entry requirements
• B.S or M.S degree in Computer Science or any related field.
• 2+ years of experience programming.
• Portfolio to showcase your abilities as a programmer.
