I can't decide which is the right one
I am stuck between Gnosticism; seeing the world as made by the demi-urge, not to be indulged in, not to be treated as something sacred, and Taoism, which is seeing the world as sacred and something to be cherished, to be indulged fully and presently.
Both have good cases, but I have no idea which it is. Maybe this is the trap itself? If I devote my energy to Gnosticism, it is possible I go through a whole lifetime of wastefulness and suffering, not engaging and basically stunting my time I have in this existence. If I instead just enjoy myself, the suffering and pleasure, fully immerse myself in this world, maybe I will have consequences outside of this existence (rebirth? karma?).
Can anyone help me?
