any progress on making the entire screen pressure sensitive ?

ive seen a post a while ago saying nobody is sure yet if the entire screen is capable of "3d touch" or not, has there been any progress on it in modding communities? is someone even 100% sure if the entire screen is pressure sensitive or not?
