Probably going to the office of research integrity in the near future.
I've posted here before about my mentor, but I have a pretty extensive list now of unethical behavior. Worse, I now know of at least one published paper with fraudulent data ("outliers" removed, and only "outliers" that help the hypothesis); what's worse, is it's another PIs paper in our Center, but my mentor ran a key experiment for it that is technically challenging. I believe, unfortunately, that this experiment which ny PI runs for many other investigators is probably usually manipulated to give the "right" results.
Also know of a paper in review from our lab that has similar manipulations (completely different experiment type though - think "omics" data).
Anyone else have experience doing this? What do I need to know?
