What makes ProtonMail better than their biggest competitor, Tutanota?

First of all, I have posted the same as well to r/tutanota and r/privacy to get as many different opinions as possible.

I am in search of an encrypted, private Email Service and came across Tutanota and ProtonMail.

Now, I can’t decide which of them I should choose from a privacy/security point of view. Can you tell me why you chose ProtonMail over Tutanota?

• Is it the encryption?
• Is the authentication more secure?
• Is it the protection they receive from the swiss privacy laws?
• Is it the user interface/the user experience?
• Is the amount of privacy/security higher than from the competitor?
• Do they have more/better features?
• Is it the story of the service/the people behind the service?
• The price is not a factor. I am just looking for the better service.

What I want to accomplish with this post is getting as much information about the service as possible, which makes the decision easier for me and maybe for other people in the future as well. My points above are just some things that came to my mind. If you have another point why you chose the service, please tell me as well. I am super interested in everything you can tell me about them.
