This week is full of surprises as Camila Cabello's new song 'Havana' takes the top spot on its debut! (Because of this, she earns a new chart achievement, which we'll get into it later.) Also, Camila's other new song 'OMG (feat. Quavo)' debuts at #5! Last week's #1 didn't suffer too much damage as 'Boys' decreases one spot, and other previous #1 song 'New Rules' is still strong at #3. Another new Kesha song means another new hit for the Popheads Hot 50 as 'Hymn' debuts at #4. 'Praying' and 'Learn To Let Go' remain in the top 10, decreasing to #7 and #8 respectively. Just as we thought Lorde's reign in our chart was starting to fade, two of her songs re-enter the top 10, with 'Perfect Places' charting at #6 (thanks to the release of the music video) while 'The Louvre' increases 23 spots this week to #10, giving this song the biggest gain of the week.
French Montana reappears this week as 'Unforgettable (feat. Swae Lee)' is the highest re-entry this week. Unfortunately for Selena, Bad Liar now sits at the bottom of the Hot 50, decreasing 26 spots - the most for this week.
- Biggest Debut of the Week: #1. Camila Cabello - Havana (feat. Young Thug)
- Biggest Re-Entry of the Week: #24. French Montana - Unforgettable (feat. Swae Lee)
- Biggest Gain of the Week: #10. Lorde - The Louvre (+23)
- Biggest Decline of the Week: #50. Selena Gomez - Bad Liar (-26)
Camila's debut at #1 is an amazing feat especially given how controversial she is on r/popheads. I guess that ironic stanning from u/letsallpoo paid off! With this week, Camila is the first ever artist to debut at #1 in our charts (aside from the first week, of course). From this day forward, we will be keeping track of #1 debuts.
- Camila Cabello is the first artist to have a #1 debut in the Hot 50 with 'Havana (feat. Young Thug)'.
