[UPDATE] Just when you think you can leave...

I got in at 10AM this morning to get the update from my coworker, who thankfully speaks Spanish.

The rental company is out of cars to give them. Vanessa called all of their locations in the city and zilch. The nearest location that has a car is at SFO... but they shouldn't have to drive all the way to SFO to get a replacement car. They drive back to LA tomorrow.

This couple booked Alcatraz tickets months ago and had to skip their tour because this bullshit. Tickets have been sold out for the entire month, so it's really unfortunate that they have to skip. I know it's their own fault, but it still sucks.
